Srinagar Airport Disruptions: Windy Woes

Flights at Srinagar Airport faced significant disruptions due to strong winds. Nine flights were cancelled and two were diverted because of a steep pressure gradient. Over the last 24 hours, gusty winds, affecting multiple regions in the Valley, led to delays and caused damage to buildings and vehicles.

Several flights at Srinagar Airport experienced cancellations, diversions, or delays as a result of intense winds, according to official sources.

A total of nine flights were cancelled, while two got redirected due to the strong winds attributed to a steep pressure gradient. Additionally, numerous other flights faced delays.

Over the past 24 hours, these strong gusty winds swept across most parts of the Valley, damaging buildings and vehicles in various locations, officials reported.
