The Union Cabinet has sanctioned the construction of a four-lane corridor connecting Patna and Sasaram, with an estimated budget of Rs 3,712.40 crore. This decision aims to resolve the prevalent congestion on the state's highways.

Transitioning to a 4-lane access-controlled greenfield and brownfield highway spanning 120.10 km, the project is set to connect Patna, Arrah, and Sasaram. The Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) will facilitate its development.

Upon completion, the corridor will significantly boost regional transport networks, linking important transport corridors and offering connectivity to key economic hubs, airports, and railway stations, thereby promoting socio-economic benefits and employment generation in Bihar.
