New Kolkata Metro Rakes: Enhanced Comfort and Safety on the Blue Line

These new rakes, operational on the Dakshineswar-New Garia corridor or Blue Line, are equipped with wider doors, increased seating capacity, better air conditioning and noise reduction, and advanced safety systems. This upgrade is part of Metro Railway's ongoing efforts to ensure a more comfortable and secure journey for its passengers.

The current fleet of Metro Railway in Kolkata boasts 31 rakes serving the Blue Line, with additional rakes allocated for the Orange, Purple, and Green Lines. The new rakes are manufactured by a Chinese company, emphasizing international collaboration in enhancing Kolkata's metro infrastructure.
