Metro Railway Kolkata has expanded its fleet with the addition of two new air-conditioned rakes, announced on Friday for passenger service.

The current fleet of Metro Railway in Kolkata boasts 31 rakes serving the Blue Line, with additional rakes allocated for the Orange, Purple, and Green Lines. The new rakes are manufactured by a Chinese company, emphasizing international collaboration in enhancing Kolkata's metro infrastructure.
