Indian Hotels Company Ltd (IHCL), a key player in the hospitality sector, is set to significantly expand its portfolio by adding 4,500 rooms through more than 30 new properties in the next fiscal year. This ambitious move is part of the company's ongoing strategy to have over 700 properties by 2030, according to Managing Director and CEO Puneet Chhatwal.

As part of this plan, IHCL introduced 'Claridges Collection', a new brand aiming to establish 20 boutique luxury hotels by 2030. Initial properties include Claridges New Delhi, Connemera in Chennai, and Blue Diamond in Pune. The collection, which involves a partnership between IHCL and Claridges Hotels Pvt Ltd, seeks to cater to the luxury segment by offering bespoke experiences.

The expansion focuses on establishing key locations in major cities and potentially broadening international presence with markets in Nepal, Sri Lanka, and beyond. Suresh Nanda of Claridges Hotels Pvt Ltd stated that the collaboration marks a pivotal step in spreading Claridges' legacy of luxury across India.
