Tunnel Turmoil: Bus Overturns in Kashmir's Ramban District

A bus traveling from Jammu to Srinagar overturned after hitting a tunnel wall in Ramban district, Jammu and Kashmir. Officials reported 12 injuries. Efforts by police, army, and locals facilitated a prompt rescue operation, with victims transported to Qazigund hospital for medical treatment.

A bus bound for Srinagar from Jammu met with an accident late Wednesday night, resulting in injuries to twelve passengers. The vehicle collided with the side of the Navyug tunnel in Ramban district, causing it to overturn.

Officials state the driver was attempting to avoid a collision when the incident occurred, striking the wall of the Qazigund-Banihal tunnel. The bus then turned turtle, injuring several on board.

An immediate rescue operation was launched by local police, army, and nearby residents. The injured were swiftly transported to Qazigund hospital to receive necessary medical attention.
