Amazon India has expanded its grocery service, Amazon Fresh, to over 170 cities, marking substantial growth from its previous reach in 130 cities. The service experienced a 50% year-over-year growth in late 2024, driven primarily by South and East India regions.

E-commerce giant Amazon India announced an expansion of its grocery service, Amazon Fresh, now reaching over 170 cities and towns nationwide. Previously, the service was available in 130 locations.
This growth trajectory, highlighted by a 50% year-over-year increase in the latter half of 2024 compared to the same period in 2023, reflects a robust demand, particularly in South and Eastern India where growth rates have soared by 50% and 40% respectively.
The extended availability of Amazon Fresh aims to cater to consumers in tier-2 and tier-3 cities with a diverse range of grocery items, ensuring delivery convenience paired with competitive pricing. Director Srikant Sree Ram emphasized the consumer appreciation for its savings, selection variety, and reliable delivery slots.
