A tragic accident on the Lucknow-Varanasi Highway claimed the lives of five individuals and left two others injured, according to local law enforcement.

The incident occurred when a speeding dumper truck, traveling from Mungra Badshahpur, collided with a car in Raniganj town before hitting a tree near the local power house, reported Station House Officer Aditya Singh.

The crash victims include Radheshyam Yadav and his daughter Aarti, along with Sundaram Pandey, Ram Babu, Neeraj Saroj, Vijay Saroj, and Vishal Gautam. While the surviving injured were transferred to a medical college and then to SRN Hospital due to their critical state, the driver of the dumper was detained by bystanders and is being questioned by police as investigations continue.
