Indore's metro project is on the verge of operational launch following a crucial safety inspection by the Commissioner of Metro Railway Safety, Janak Kumar Garg. His team thoroughly examined the construction, signal systems, and telecommunications along a key stretch of the newly developed rail line.
Sources from the Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited confirm that only the final nod from the CMRS is needed before the metro can begin commercial use. The 5.90 km priority corridor, where intense evaluations took place, represents the initial operational phase of this ambitious urban transport initiative.
The foundation of this expansive metro project, costing Rs 7,500.80 crore, was laid in September 2019. Once fully complete, an impressive 31.50 km circular route will enhance the connectivity and ease of travel across Indore.
