IndiGrid 2 Takes Charge of Major ISTS Transmission Project from RECPDCL

REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited transfers the Ratle Kiru Power Transmission Project SPV to IndiGrid 2 Private Limited. The project covers major transmission developments in J-K and Punjab, with an estimated cost of Rs. 1,407.44 Crore. RECPDCL is contributing significantly to the power sector's growth in India.

In a significant development, REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL), a subsidiary of REC Limited, has officially handed over the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) of a key ISTS Transmission Project to IndiGrid 2 Private Limited. The handover was completed in Gurugram on March 24, 2025.

This project, which emerged through Tariff-Based Competitive Bidding (TBCB) conducted by RECPDCL, will be executed under the Build, Own, Operate, and Transfer (BOOT) model. The transmission facility, costing approximately Rs. 1,407.44 crore, includes the construction of pivotal 400 KV lines traversing through Jammu & Kashmir and Punjab.
