The Nagpur division of the South East Central Railway (SECR) has struck a significant partnership with the State Bank of India (SBI), India's largest lender, to open salary accounts for its employees. This strategic collaboration, formalized through a memorandum of understanding (MoU), promises to enhance the financial advantages available to the railway's workforce.
The MoU includes compelling benefits available in SBI's Railway Salary Package, notably featuring personal accidental insurance coverage of Rs 1 crore and air accidental insurance of Rs 1.60 crore. Employees can also access loans for homes and cars at concessional rates, alongside various lifestyle perks linked with the Rupay debit card.
SBI's Deputy General Manager for Business & Operations, Rajeev Sawrav, and Uday Kumar Bharti, the senior Divisional Personnel Officer for the Nagpur Division, signed the agreement last Friday, marking a forward step in boosting employee welfare and financial security.
