New Delhi, March 24: During the three-day 'Delhi Creators Summit,' renowned Oscar-winning sound designer Resul Pookutty emphasized the importance of pursuing one's passion to achieve success. Speaking to the media, Pookutty advocated for young people to harness their talents, as showcased by his own journey to an Oscar win at age 37.

Highlighting challenges that young talents face, Pookutty noted societal and familial pressures often hinder individuals from realizing their potential. The Indian Institute of Creative Skills (IICS) collaborates with the Government of India to support skill development, thereby aiding youth in cultivating their capabilities and choosing aligned career paths.

Inaugurated officially soon, the IICS offers state-of-the-art facilities and expert mentors under the Skill India Mission, conveyed Ved Mani Tiwari, CEO of NSDC. The institute's mission is to provide a platform where the innate abilities of Indian youth are nurtured and showcased globally, with more such institutes planned nationwide.

At the summit, Dr. Mohit Soni, CEO of the Media and Entertainment Skills Council, reaffirmed IICS's distinctiveness due to its infrastructure and trainers. Various fields such as Performing Arts, Music Production, and Digital Content are offered, intending to globalize their skills and provide job opportunities.

Academician Ketki Pandit and makeup artist Yasmin Rogers highlighted IICS's role in elevating technical skills to meet international standards, addressing industry needs, and ensuring quality training. This sentiment was echoed by Dr. Akhil Kumar, who lauded the summit's diverse content creators ranging from influencers with thousands to millions of followers.
