A daring escape by a 23-year-old woman prevented a potential crime when she leaped from a moving train to avoid an attempted rape. The dramatic incident, confirmed by the Government Railway Police, occurred near Secunderabad.
The victim recounted that on the evening of March 22, she was traveling alone in the ladies' coach of an MMTS train. After two other female passengers left the train, an unidentified man threatened her and demanded sexual favors. Defiantly refusing, she jumped to escape.
Police have launched a vigorous hunt for the attacker, utilizing CCTV, witness accounts, and scientific methods. The woman, who sustained several injuries, is in stable condition. Authorities registered a case under relevant sections and continue to investigate.
