Uttar Pradesh: From BIMARU to Economic Powerhouse

Uttar Pradesh has transformed from a lagging state into India's economic engine under Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. With reforms in agriculture and various sectors, the state has seen significant growth in food grain production and sugar industry recovery. Celebrations of these achievements are planned through a 'Vikas Utsav.'

Uttar Pradesh, historically seen as a struggling state, has transformed into a leading force in India's economy, according to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

Speaking at a press conference in Lucknow to mark the eight-year tenure of the National Democratic Alliance government, Adityanath attributed the state's turnaround to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's policies focused on service, security, and good governance.

The chief minister highlighted the state's rapid improvement in agricultural output, citing a rise in food grain production from 557 to 668 lakh metric tonnes and a boost in the agricultural growth rate to over 13.5%. Adityanath announced the upcoming 'Vikas Utsav' to celebrate these achievements and honor beneficiaries across various sectors.
