A Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight experienced an unusual incident upon landing at Lahore airport when it was discovered that one of its rear wheels was missing. Fortunately, the situation did not lead to any accidents or injuries, an official confirmed on Friday.
PIA flight PK-306, flying from Karachi to Lahore, safely completed its journey despite the missing wheel, prompting an immediate investigation. Officials are exploring whether the wheel was absent before takeoff or became detached during the flight.
The PIA spokesperson assured that the aircraft is designed to handle such contingencies, ensuring passenger and equipment safety. The investigation will also consider the possibility of the wheel being stolen, although this remains unlikely at present.
