Air India Express has reached a significant milestone by boosting its fleet to 100 aircraft with the integration of a new Boeing 737-8. The aircraft made its inaugural flight on the Bengaluru-Hindon route.

In a statement released on Monday, the airline announced plans to operate over 500 daily flights across 54 destinations in India, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia by the end of the month. This expansion marks a notable growth from its January 2022 fleet of 26 Boeing 737 NGs and 28 A320 aircraft.

The 100th aircraft, adorned with 'Chittara' tail art, inspired by Karnataka's traditional mural painting, was flagged off by Managing Director Aloke Singh at Bengaluru's Kempegowda International Airport. Singh emphasized the airline's growth in India's aviation sector, particularly in tier 2 and tier 3 cities, since its acquisition by the Tata Group.
