A New Era of Rapid Transit: The Dubai Loop Initiative
The Boring Company and Dubai's Road and Transport Authority have agreed to build the Dubai Loop, a 17km high-speed underground transport network. An initial phase with 11 stations will enable travel at speeds up to 160km/h. Dubai Loop, similar to the Vegas Loop, plans to ease congestion in the emirate.

The Boring Company, led by entrepreneur Elon Musk, has partnered with Dubai's Road and Transport Authority to develop a groundbreaking underground transport network named the Dubai Loop. The announcement was made during the World Governments Summit, highlighting a new phase in high-speed travel.
The preliminary agreement envisions a 17km stretch with 11 stations designed to transport passengers in electric vehicles through high-speed tunnels, reaching up to 160km per hour. This concept mirrors the Vegas Loop's efficiency, which started operations in 2021 with five stations around a convention center in the U.S.
The ambitious Dubai Loop aims to accommodate over 20,000 passengers per hour initially, targeting an eventual capacity of 100,000 people per hour, marking a significant step in addressing Dubai's traffic congestion. Although no completion timeline is currently set, the initiative reflects Musk's enduring vision of futuristic transport systems.
