A fire engulfed the Sun Metro Bicentennial Council Transit Operations Center in El Paso, Texas, near the international airport, on Tuesday, injuring five individuals and unleashing a massive plume of black smoke over the city.

Authorities have yet to determine the cause of the inferno at the transport center, which saw more than 100 firefighters battling the blaze.

El Paso Fire Department Deputy Chief Robert Arvizu mentioned that the building's walls and roof collapsed but fortunately, flights at El Paso International Airport proceeded without disruption, confirmed by city spokesperson Laura Cruz Acosta.
