India's housing market experienced a significant boost in institutional investment last year, reaching USD 1.15 billion, a remarkable 46% increase from the previous year.
According to Colliers India, total institutional investments in the real estate sector surged by 22% to USD 6.5 billion in 2024, compared to USD 5.4 billion the year prior.
The industrial and warehousing sectors drew the largest investments, while foreign investors accounted for 66% of the inflow, led predominantly by Asia Pacific financiers, amid governmental policy support bolstering continued interest.
