Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced on Monday that India's first bullet train is soon to be a reality. He emphasized the increasing appetite for high-speed trains and the transformative changes the rail sector has undergone.

In a launch of several rail projects, including those in the Jammu division, Modi stated that the railways have experienced a profound transformation over the past decade. He addressed this via video, accompanied by the chief ministers of Telangana, Odisha, and Jammu and Kashmir.

Highlighting that over 136 Vande Bharat trains now navigate more than 50 routes, Modi referred to a recent trial achieving speeds of 180 kilometers per hour. These developments are part of India's rapid strides in connectivity and infrastructure, affirming a vision of 'sabka sath, sabka vikas'.
