In Uttar Pradesh, railway authorities recently foiled two possible sabotage attempts, ensuring the safety of train operations. The incidents involved an empty gas cylinder found on tracks near Barrajpur and a metal fragment located near Tapri, both of which were swiftly addressed by officials.
During routine patrolling on Wednesday, a safety team discovered the gas cylinder placed deliberately on the loop line tracks in Shivrajpur, contained within a sack. The Government Railway Police (GRP) swiftly responded, involving forensic teams to inspect the site and the cylinder, deemed empty.
Authorities have launched thorough investigations into both occurrences, deeming them possible sabotage attempts. Train services were temporarily halted to remove obstructive objects, thereby avoiding disruptions or possible accidents. Railway officials emphasize the seriousness of these incidents, with robust inquiries underway to identify those behind the attempts.
