New Vaikom-Chennai and Velankanni Bus Services Launched

The Tamil Nadu State Express Transport Corporation has successfully inaugurated new bus services linking Vaikom with Chennai and Velankanni. The official launch was held at the Vaikom KSRTC bus stand and was graced by Kerala Transport Minister K B Ganesh Kumar and Tamil Nadu Transport Minister S S Sivasankar.
This development comes shortly after Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin inaugurated the Thanthai Periyar Memorial and Periyar Library in Vaikom, commemorating Dravidar Kazhagam founder E V Ramasamy. Minister Ganesh Kumar expressed his appreciation for Tamil Nadu's initiative, highlighting the significant benefits for local commuters.
Kumar announced that a separate service between Tenkasi and Aryankavu will start on Thursday, significantly enhancing travel options for Kerala passengers. He also emphasized new regulations requiring police clearance for private bus drivers and the introduction of a penalty points system for driving violations.
