Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's wealth, largely attributed to his family's stake in Heritage Foods, positions him as the richest chief minister in India, with assets exceeding Rs 931 crore. The dairy retail firm, established in 1992 following economic reforms, has grown markedly without government aid.
Heritage Foods, initiated amid a milk surplus crisis in Naidu's home district of Chittoor, leveraged economic liberalization's private sector encouragement. Naidu, its initial managing director, oversaw the company's early operations, later transitioning control to his wife upon becoming a minister.
Today, Heritage Foods stands as a significant market player with revenues of Rs 3750 crores and operations in 12 Indian states. Under the stewardship of Managing Director Bhuvaneswari Nara and Executive Director Nara Brahmani, the company is renowned for its quality products and robust distribution network.
