BJP MPs from Delhi have put forth a series of ambitious transportation proposals to Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, designed to ease traffic congestion and lower pollution levels in the national capital, said East Delhi MP Harsh Malhotra on Wednesday.
During a press conference, Malhotra highlighted these proposals, which have been laid out after thorough discussions on the pressing traffic and pollution issues plaguing Delhi. Projects in focus include the nearing completion of the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway and the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, aiming to dramatically reduce travel times.
Additionally, MPs suggested the construction of an underground tunnel between Shiv Murti and Nelson Mandela Marg, extension of the Delhi-Katra Expressway, and development of new expressways to redirect traffic and relieve Delhi's congestion woes.
