A devastating accident unfolded on Maharashtra's Solapur-Dhule road when four individuals, including three members of a single family, perished after their vehicle collided with a stationary truck on Wednesday afternoon, police reported.
The victims were returning to Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar from the pilgrim town of Akkalkot when tragedy struck around 1 pm. The collision resulted in severe injuries for two other car occupants, who were promptly transported to a private hospital.
The accident caused a substantial traffic delay, blocking the highway for nearly two hours until law enforcement cleared the wreckage. Police are investigating the collision at Mahakal village, where the truck had halted due to a mechanical failure.
