In a move to uncover the causes behind a tragic aviation accident, South Korea's transport ministry has announced its decision to send the flight data recorder of the crashed Jeju Air plane to the United States for a detailed analysis.
The crash, which occurred on Sunday, claimed the lives of all 175 passengers and four out of six crew members, marking a significant disaster in the country's aviation history.
The Jeju Air jet, upon belly-landing at Muan International Airport in southwestern South Korea, collided with a sand-and-concrete embankment at the end of the runway and was consumed by fire following the impact.
