Medicamen Organics Limited, a prominent producer of pharmaceutical and health products, has announced a strategic alliance with the newly formed Medi Hub Organic Ltd. in Nepal to establish a modern pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This collaboration is set to boost the pharmaceutical production landscape in Nepal, paving the way for enhanced healthcare product availability.
According to the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Medicamen Organics will invest Rs 9 Cr (equivalent to NPR 14.4 Cr) in Medi Hub Organic Ltd. This investment is intended to support the construction of the new manufacturing facility and cover working capital needs. With a 30% stake in the Nepalese company, Medicamen Organics aims to extend its regional presence while increasing its manufacturing capabilities, ensuring the facility complies with Current Good Manufacturing Practices (CGMP) and aiming for European quality standards.
This strategic move is expected to facilitate technology transfer and collaborative procurement efforts, enhancing product offerings and strengthening the pharmaceutical sector's growth across Nepal, South Asia, and the EU. The partnership is a crucial step in both companies' growth trajectories, addressing the increasing demand for high-quality healthcare products in key markets.
