The Central Railway's Mumbai division witnessed a leadership change this week as Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) Rajnish Goyal completed his tenure and transferred charge to Harish Mina, an officer from the Indian Railway Traffic Service.
Rajnish Goyal, who assumed the role in October 2022, is lauded for executing key infrastructure improvements during his term. Notable projects included the platform expansions at Thane and Dadar stations, designed to improve passenger flow and convenience. Goyal's initiatives also included relocating railway offices and stalls at Kalyan station to facilitate easier movement for commuters.
Under his leadership, critical safety measures were enforced with the installation of iron boxes at platform ends, aimed at deterring dangerous track-crossing by passengers.
