In a strategic move aimed at cementing Telangana's place on the global technology stage, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy met with Microsoft President Satya Nadella in Hyderabad. Joining him were Cabinet Ministers D Sridhar Babu and Uttam Kumar Reddy, among others, highlighting the importance of the discussion.
Microsoft, a trailblazer in the Hyderabad tech scene with a workforce of 10,000, has significantly invested in the region. The company's 600 MW data center capacity underlines its commitment to the state's economic fabric. Reddy expressed gratitude towards Nadella for Microsoft's continual investment and growth in Hyderabad and the broader state.
The dialogue delved into pivotal tech initiatives such as AI, General AI, and cloud services, with Telangana seeking Microsoft's backing to position Hyderabad as a global tech leader. Additionally, the Chief Minister outlined ambitious infrastructure plans, including developing radial roads and institutionalizing skills at Young India Skills University, aiming to create industry-ready talent.
