Incident Halts Rail Traffic in UP's Shahjahanpur-Sarsawa Section

Rail traffic between Shahjahanpur and Sarsawa in Uttar Pradesh was disrupted after a pandrol clip, crucial for securing railway tracks, was found missing. Officials discovered the clip near a railway pillar and restored traffic. A case has been filed to investigate potential sabotage or mischief.

Rail traffic in the Shahjahanpur-Sarsawa section of Uttar Pradesh faced a temporary halt of approximately 30 minutes when a crucial pandrol clip went missing, officials reported on Friday.

The discovery was made by a lineman on Thursday, leading to swift action by Railway Protection Force officers who rushed to address the issue.

The missing pandrol clip was eventually found near pillar No. 199, allowing rail services to resume. Authorities have registered a case to probe whether the incident was an act of sabotage or simply mischief, according to Mandeep Singh, Divisional Railway Manager of Ambala division.
