Telangana Solidifies Global Stature with 36,000 Crore Life Sciences Investment

In a significant stride for the life sciences sector, Telangana has secured investments totaling Rs 36,000 crore across 140 projects this past year, according to Minister for IT and Industries D Sridhar Babu.
During a press briefing, Minister Babu announced the upcoming launch of a dedicated life sciences policy aimed at streamlining processes, attracting further investments, and nurturing innovation. He highlighted that the state welcomed over 140 projects, resulting in about 51,000 direct jobs and potentially 1.50 lakh indirect positions.
Telangana's efforts to market Hyderabad as an attractive destination in the global life sciences arena have paid off, with investments spanning pharmaceutical manufacturing, R&D centers, and Global Capability Centers. The government remains committed to reinforcing Telangana's strategic position in the global life sciences value chain.
