On Wednesday, IndiGo and Air India canceled flights to Bali as ash clouds from the eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki Laki threatened aviation safety. This volcanic activity, occurring earlier in October, has created hazardous conditions for air travel.

The two airlines, which operate daily routes from Bengaluru and Delhi to Bali, cited the potential risk from ash clouds as the reason behind their decision. In a post on platform X, IndiGo alerted passengers to the flight suspensions amid ongoing safety assessments.

Air India reassured its passengers by offering complimentary rescheduling, accommodations on other flights, or full refunds. In a related development, Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu pledged the ministry's commitment to passenger safety and convenience.
