In a recent financial disclosure, Direct-to-home service provider, Dish TV India Ltd, announced a consolidated net loss of Rs 37.38 crore for the quarter ending September 2024. This marks a significant turnaround from the Rs 5.41 crore net profit recorded in the same period of the previous year.
This financial setback comes as the company's revenue from operations plunged by 17.43% to reach Rs 395.62 crore in comparison to the Rs 479.15 crore recorded during the corresponding quarter a year prior. The decline in revenue was accompanied by a 6.43% reduction in total expenses, which amounted to Rs 437.97 crore, covering costs such as goods and services, personnel, and other operational expenditures.
Overall, the total income for the quarter, inclusive of other income streams, decreased by 17.55%, settling at Rs 400.59 crore. Consequently, the market responded with Dish TV shares closing at Rs 11.77 on the BSE, reflecting a 3.29% dip from the previous trading session.
