IndiGo and Air India have been forced to cancel their flights to Bali, Indonesia, due to the hazardous ash clouds from a recent volcanic eruption. The eruption of Mount Lewotobi Laki Laki this month has led to severe disruptions in air travel.
Located in the remote regions of East Nusa Tenggara province, the volcano's activity has raised concerns over air safety. Consequently, airlines worldwide are adopting precautionary measures, including cancelling flights to and from Bali.
IndiGo announced via a social media post that travel to the region is affected because ash clouds could hinder flight operations. Air India, which had been serving Bali from Delhi, also suspended flights, merging its operations with Vistara.
