Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India announced on Tuesday a recall of specific GL1800 Gold Wing motorcycles produced from March 2018 to May 2021. The recall is part of a coordinated global safety effort.
The company identified a problem with the primary drive gear fastening bolt in certain engines, which could potentially break and cause the engine to stall. This precautionary recall aims to prevent any incidents arising from this issue.
Honda stated that replacement parts will be available at BigWing dealerships across India, beginning in December 2024. The replacements will be provided free of charge, regardless of the vehicle's warranty status.
