The historic first international flight landed early Tuesday morning, a significant milestone post Air India's merger with Vistara. The domestic sector also witnessed its first flight under this merger, with AI2984 taking off from Mumbai to Delhi. The combined coding system 'AI2XXX' is designed to aid passengers in identifying former Vistara flights managed by Air India.
This strategic merger signifies an important step in the civil aviation industry, as Singapore Airlines now holds a 25.1% stake in the new integrated entity. The combined operations align with the Tata Group's vision to enhance service and operational efficiencies.
