A tragic accident unfolded on the Ayodhya-Prayagraj highway as two motorcycles collided head-on, resulting in the death of a local mechanic and the injury of an army soldier. The crash transpired late Sunday near Ahimane Bazaar, marking a grim evening on the bustling route.
The mechanic, identified as 40-year-old Samarjit, died instantly, leaving a somber shadow over the community. He was riding home when the fatal collision occurred in front of a Shiva temple, involving a Royal Enfield motorcycle ridden by a soldier.
Authorities have identified the injured soldier as Vinod Yadav, a resident of Amethi district. Initially treated at the Government Medical College in Sultanpur, he has been referred to the Command Hospital in Lucknow for further medical attention.
