The deceased, a resident of Samastipur district, was caught between the buffers of the train engine and a coach while shunting the Lucknow Junction-Barauni Express. Family members expressed anger over alleged negligence by railway staff and demanded immediate accountability.
Divisional Railway Manager Vivek Bhushan Sood pacified the aggrieved family, with a promise of an inquiry. The Chief Public Relations Officer, Sharswati Chandra, confirmed that a high-level investigation is underway to uncover any lapse in protocol, assuring stringent measures against guilty personnel.
