Hyundai's October Surge: SUV Sales Reach New Heights
Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) reported a 2% year-on-year increase in total sales for October, with SUV sales, especially the Hyundai CRETA, hitting unprecedented levels. Domestic sales rose slightly, while exports saw a 6.7% boost. SUVs dominated sales, representing 68.2% of the total monthly sales.

Hyundai Motor India Ltd (HMIL) announced a 2% rise in total sales for October, reaching 70,078 units compared to 68,728 units in the same month last year.
Domestic sales edged up to 55,568 units from 55,128 units a year ago. Export figures also saw a significant increase, climbing 6.7% to 14,510 units from 13,600 units last year, according to a company regulatory filing.
Tarun Garg, HMIL's Chief Operating Officer, highlighted the strong demand for the SUV segment during the festive period, which led to HMIL's highest-ever monthly SUV sales of 37,902 units, including a record domestic sale of 17,497 units for the Hyundai CRETA. SUVs accounted for 68.2% of the total monthly sales in October 2024, remaining a key component of HMIL's product lineup.
