Tragic Road Accident Claims Couple's Lives in Uttar Pradesh

A tragic road accident in Uttar Pradesh claimed the lives of a 54-year-old man, Shriprakash Singh, and his wife, Neerja Singh. The couple were struck by a truck while traveling home, leading to Neerja's immediate death and Shriprakash's subsequent passing in the hospital. Police have initiated standard post-mortem procedures.

A fatal road accident in Uttar Pradesh claimed the lives of Shriprakash Singh, 54, and his wife, Neerja Singh, on Wednesday. The couple was returning to Birbhanpur from Jaunpur after visiting Neerja's mother when tragedy struck at the Polytechnic crossing.

Under the jurisdiction of Kotwali police, Inspector Mithilesh Mishra stated that their motorcycle was hit by a truck with registration number UP 50-BT 2283, which was en route from Lucknow to Varanasi.

The collision resulted in Neerja's instant death and Shriprakash's demise at a nearby hospital. Authorities have informed the family and sent both bodies for post-mortem examinations.
