Voltas Ltd has reported a remarkable two-fold increase in its consolidated net profit, reaching Rs 132.83 crore in the September quarter. This growth was primarily fueled by a surge in its residential air conditioning business.

In comparison to the same period a year ago, where the company netted Rs 35.65 crore, the current figures reflect significant progress. According to a regulatory filing, Voltas' revenue from operations experienced a growth of 14.23%, escalating to Rs 2,619.11 crore from the previous Rs 2,292.75 crore.

The division catering to ''unitary cooling products for comfort and commercial use'' saw a considerable 30.88% rise in revenue to Rs 1,582.19 crore, reinforcing Voltas' leadership in the market with a 21% exit market share in both split and window air-conditioners.
