BEML Strengthens Leadership with New Directors Gupta and Som

Rajeev Kumar Gupta and Sanjay Som have been appointed as directors at BEML. Gupta will oversee rail and metro operations, while Som will focus on mining and construction. Both bring extensive experience from previous leadership roles in the industry. Their expertise is expected to boost BEML's productivity and innovation.

State-owned BEML announced on Thursday the appointment of Rajeev Kumar Gupta and Sanjay Som as new directors on its board. Gupta will lead as Director of Rail & Metro, and Som will serve as Director of Mining & Construction, the company stated.

Gupta joins BEML with more than 35 years of experience, having held leadership positions at companies like SAIL and BHEL. His expertise spans manufacturing, marketing, project execution, communication, and international business.

Som, with a background in both public and private sectors, played a crucial role in developing the Vande Bharat Sleeper Coach for Indian Railways. BEML Chairman and Managing Director Shantanu Roy expressed confidence that their diverse expertise will enhance the company's capabilities in productivity, innovation, and execution.
