Global Airlines Halt Middle East Flights Amid Rising Tensions
International airlines are suspending flights to destinations in the Middle East due to heightened geopolitical tensions. Carriers from Greece, Algeria, Latvia, France, and others have canceled services primarily to Tel Aviv, Beirut, and other cities. These changes impact flight schedules until early next year.
Heightened geopolitical tensions have compelled major international airlines to suspend services to the Middle East, raising concerns about a wider conflict in the region.
Aegean Airlines of Greece has canceled flights to Beirut until December 17 and to Tel Aviv until November 12. Similarly, Algeria's Air Algerie and Latvia's airBaltic have pulled their flight services to Lebanon and Tel Aviv, respectively, until further notice.
Air France-KLM extended flight suspensions to Tel Aviv and Beirut. Other carriers like Air India and Virgin Atlantic have also paused flights to Tel Aviv, reflecting a widespread cautionary approach among global airlines.
