NDTV Swings to Rs 53.45 Crore Net Loss Amid Revenue Growth

News broadcaster New Delhi Television Ltd (NDTV) on Wednesday announced a consolidated net loss of Rs 53.45 crore for the second quarter ending September 2024, reflecting a stark contrast to the net profit of Rs 5.55 crore in the same quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Nevertheless, NDTV experienced a 16.5% rise in its consolidated revenue from operations, reaching Rs 111.32 crore during this period, compared to Rs 95.55 crore in the corresponding period last year. The growth in revenue was attributed to an enriched content strategy, an expanding portfolio of Intellectual Properties (IPs), and robust digital initiatives, as highlighted in their earnings statement.
Expenses for the period soared 76.25% to Rs 164.76 crore. On the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE), NDTV shares experienced a slight decline, closing at Rs 167.90, down 0.77%.
