Heineken NV, the Dutch beer giant, has reported a 4.5% increase in its premium beer category sales for the September quarter, bolstered by its flagship brand Heineken, as well as strong performances from Kingfisher Ultra in India and Savanna in Southern Africa.
Despite facing challenges in the Asia Pacific market, where beer volume declined by 1.2% due to struggles in Vietnam and Cambodia, Heineken saw a balanced growth of 0.7% in beer volumes globally, with a revenue increase of 3.3%.
The company's EverGreen strategy continues to drive its business success, with premiumisation efforts significantly boosting sales in key markets like Brazil, South Africa, and India, although a mid-single-digit decline in consolidated premium volume was noted due to setbacks with the Tiger brand.
