Metro railway services in the north-south corridor faced an hour-long disruption on Wednesday following an incident where a woman allegedly jumped in front of a moving train at Chandni Chowk station, officials reported.

Following the retrieval of the injured woman from under the train, normal services resumed at 11.50 am. She was immediately sent to the hospital for medical attention, authorities confirmed.

During the incident, truncated services were maintained, operating only up to Maidan station in the south and Girish Park in the north, causing significant commuter inconvenience.
