Varun Beverages Ltd, a key franchise bottler for PepsiCo, announced a 22.33% rise in its consolidated net profit for the September quarter, reaching Rs 628.82 crore. This growth is attributed to increased volume and better margins.

The company, adhering to a calendar financial year, recorded a net profit of Rs 514.05 crore in the same period last year, according to their latest financial statement. Revenue soared by 25.25% to Rs 4,932.06 crore compared to last year's corresponding quarter's Rs 3,937.75 crore.

Despite challenges such as heavy rains affecting domestic sales, international markets, notably Africa, continue to present significant growth opportunities, as stated by VBL Chairman Ravi Jaipuria. Varun Beverages accounts for 90% of PepsiCo's beverage sales volume in India. Shares rose 3.34% to Rs 597.50 on BSE.
