Tapan Acharya from Goa has been elected as the President of the Rollball Federation of India in a historic election filled with widespread support and anticipation. Despite Goa's minimal votes, Acharya's influence and leadership were evident, securing him a resounding victory overseen by Maharashtra Charity Commissioner Adv. Dileep Hande.
The election also saw Manoj Kumar Yadav from Jharkhand taking the Vice President role and Pratap Pagar of Maharashtra as Secretary General. This formidable team will drive Rollball into its next development phase. The election involved 20 out of 30 state associations, demonstrating high representation and democracy.
Rollball, invented by Raju Dabhade in Pune, is played in 65 countries and governed by the Rollball Federation of India. With over 1.75 lakh Indian players, the sport has seen impressive growth. Under Acharya's leadership, the focus is on expanding the sport's reach and infrastructure, promising a bright future for Rollball.
