Addressing the US-India Strategic Partnership Forum Annual India Leadership Summit in New Delhi, John Chambers, Chairman of the Forum, commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi's administration. He claimed that the government's efforts have not only prepared India for an imminent economic surge but also set a strong foundation for the next quarter-century.
Chambers projected unparalleled growth for India, predicting that the nation will surpass China's GDP by the century's end. "This won't just be an age of Indian prominence; by 2100, India's GDP will be twice that of China," he asserted, acknowledging India's rapid transformation into the world's fastest-growing economy.
Highlighting India's digital revolution, Chambers praised the government's Digital India initiative as a strategic move rather than mere aspiration. He noted substantial progress in technology and artificial intelligence, and a remarkable boom in startup investments, multiplying 15 times between 2015 and 2022. This growth sets the stage for a promising economic outlook despite the imminent challenge of execution.
