China has issued a stark warning to the European Union, advising against separate negotiations on the pricing of electric vehicles manufactured in China. Such measures, China argues, could jeopardize ongoing bilateral tariff talks.
This announcement was made via the Chinese Ministry of Commerce's website, days following the EU's dismissal of a proposed minimum price of 30,000 euros for electric vehicles from China.
China had introduced this pricing strategy in hopes of circumventing EU tariffs set to come into effect next month.
