Empowering Youth: IYDF's Heartwarming Outreach at Salem Orphanage

The International Youth Development Foundation (IYDF), along with Dev Creations, conducted an impactful outreach event at Kamalalayam Charitable Trust Orphanage in Salem, distributing essential items and engaging in fun activities. This initiative fostered a sense of care and belonging among the children, while inspiring continued community support.

In a commendable outreach initiative, the International Youth Development Foundation (IYDF), in partnership with Dev Creations, organized an event at the Kamalalayam Charitable Trust Orphanage in Salem on October 6, 2024. Under the leadership of E. Nagarajan, the event aimed to enhance the living conditions of the children through donations and interactive activities.

Starting at 1:00 PM, volunteers distributed a wide array of essential items to the 50 children residing at the orphanage. Supplies included educational materials such as notebooks, pens, Thirukkural books, dictionaries, and sports equipment like cricket bats and footballs. The provision of everyday necessities like bedsheets and water bottles further improved the children's living standards.

The event was enriched with activities designed to connect volunteers and children. A chess competition added excitement to the day, with the children showcasing their skills. The volunteers, who included individuals like Jayashree and Rajasekar, expressed that seeing the children's smiles provided immense satisfaction. E. Nagarajan emphasized that beyond material gifts, the event was about sharing love and fostering community bonds.
